Tuesday’s basketball rewind: Which Charlotte-area teams, players, had big nights?
Most of the state’s public schools don’t start playing until Friday, but there were several high school basketball games among private schools on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s #BIG5 top performers
Za’Miya Bynum, Queen’s Grant: In a win over Ambassador Christian, Bynum had 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two rebounds and two blocks.
Madison Drayton and Brooke Busby, Cannon girls: The duo combined for 34 points as the Cougars, No. 1 in The Observer’s Sweet 16, beat No. 8 Concord Academy 69-55.
MJ Littlejohn, Westminter Catawba: Littlejohn had his second straight in double digits in a 68-44 win over Greater Cabarrus. He finished with a team-high 17 points.
James Minlend, Cannon School: Minlend had a team-high 19 points in an 80-37 win over Cannon School.
RJ Moore, Ambassador Christian: Had a game-high 20 points in a 51-48 win over 2A public school power Queen’s Grant. Queen’s Grant played without its top player, Chase Smith, for the second straight time.
