— Three new teams join the 6A poll: No. 4 Knightdale (4-1), No. 7 Swansboro (2-0) and No. 8 Freedom (1-0).
— There are two new teams in the 3A poll: No. 7 Lincolnton (2-0) and No. 8 Northwood (0-1).
