19 new teams in latest NC girls’ basketball statewide high school rankings
There are 19 new girls’ basketball teams ranked in the latest N.C. statewide high school basketball polls.
The rankings are sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and the News & Observer of Raleigh. The rankings are compiled by longtime N.C. high school basketball expert Randall Clark, a co-host of The Observer’s Talking Preps streaming show.
In addition to the new teams joining the rankings, there are two new No. 1 ranked teams. In the 6A poll, Alexander Central (6-0) moves up to the top spot. In 7A, North Meck (5-0) takes over at No. 1.
