Charlotte Catholic’s Marguerite McPhillips headlines NC girls’ soccer all-state team

The N.C. Soccer Coaches Association released its annual all-state teams Sunday.

Charlotte Catholic’s Marguerite McPhillips, who led her team to the N.C. 6A state championship, was named player of the year.

McPhillips, a senior forward, had 23 points and 13 assists and led the Cougars to a 24-0-1 record and a No. 1 ranking in MaxPreps’ national poll.
