Charlotte-area football players of the week

Cole Martin, Fort Mill Nation Ford: In 55-0 win over the Greenville Red Raiders, Martin was 29-for-41 for 429 yards and seven touchdowns.

Gage Moloney, Rock Hill Northwestern: 21-for-22 for 449 yards and six scores in a 52-7 victory over Greenwood.

Jadarious McManus, Monroe: Helped his team rally from 17-0 down to upset N.C. 3AA finalist Weddington 45-38 in triple overtime Friday. McManus had four catches for 172 yards and two scores.

Jalyn Cagle, Kannapolis Brown: Senior sparked a 23-9 upset Friday over Mooresville with a fumble recovery, a 21-yard scoring run and a 98-yard kickoff return for score.

Cody Reece, Mount Pleasant: Ran 46 times for 225 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-36 triple overtime loss to South Iredell. Reece scored three times after regulation.

Bryce Maginley, Ardrey Kell: 19-for-28 passing for 323 yards, four scores; 13 carries, 205 yards rushing and a score in a loss at Hough.
