Rain again affecting Friday football games
Anticipated heavy rain in the Charlotte region is playing havoc with this week’s high school football schedule.
Four games were moved to Thursday and five games have been moved to Monday. A few teams are moving times and sites for games Friday:
▪ Friday’s game between Union County rivals Monroe and Cuthbertson has been moved from Cuthbertson. The teams will now kick off at 5:30 p.m. at Monroe High School where the Redhawks have artifiical turf.
▪ Marvin Ridge at Porter Ridge has also been moved. That game will be played Friday at Monroe High at 8 p.m.
▪ In Cabarrus County, Cox Mill at Northwest Cabarrus has moved been up an hour. That game will begin Friday at 6:30 p.m.
