Charlotte-Area High School Basketball Players of the Week 01.11.16

Mahaley Holit, Central Cabarrus girls: 37 points, four assists and four steals in a 59-54 win over East Rowan Tuesday. Holit scored 24 points in the fourth quarter. Friday, she has 22 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds iin a 61-33 win over Northwest Cabarrus.

Sarah Billiard, Covenant Day girls: 12 points, 11 rebounds in a 65-39 win over Tabernacle Christian. In the game, Billiard crossed the 1,000 career rebound threshold. In Saturday’s 73-47 win over Gaston Christian, Billiard had 31 pionts, 22 rebounds and 15 blocks.

Shareka and Shameka McNeill, Harding girls: sister duo had 48 points, 12 steals and five assists combined in Friday’s 60-50 win over Olympic.

Marcus Neal, Vance: 27 points, seven assists, five steals in an 86-74 win over Hopewell Friday.

Sage Surratt, East Lincoln: 31 points, 17 rebounds in a 74-70 win over West Caldwell Friday. Surratt had 34 points and seven rebounds in a 78-54 wiin over Newton-Conover last Tuesday.

Grant Williams, Providence Day: 16 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, plus game-winning free throws in the final seconds of Friday’s 55-54 win over Arden Christ School.
