SouthLake Christian (10-5, 4-0 MAC) at Northside Christian (10-5, 4-0), 7:30 p.m.: These two have separated themselves from the rest of the conference. Metrolina Christian, Concord First Assembly and Gaston Day, the nearest pursuers, each have two league losses. SouthLake and Northside have both won three straight games. Which ever team makes it four will have a huge leg up in the league title race.

Charlotte Country Day (7-11, 0-0 CISAA) at Charlotte Latin (8-7, 0-0), 7:30 p.m.: One of Mecklenburg County’s best rivalries renews in the CISAA conference opener for both teams. Latin has won four straight. Country Day, averaging 40.3 points per game, will look to jump-start its offense.

Charlotte Christian girls (9-5, 0-0 CISAA) at Covenant Day (10-4, 0-0), 7:30 p.m.: Two teams expected to challenge Providence Day for a league title meet. Covenant Day has won five in a row, led by senior Erica VanDusen (13.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 3.1 apg) and junior Sarah Billiard (17.7 ppg, 15.8 rpg 4.9 bpg).

Cannon (13-5, 0-0) at No. 1 Providence Day (17-3, 0-0), 7:30 p.m.: Cannon, athletic and dangerous, has won seven of nine games behind 6-8 sophomore Jairus Hamilton, who is getting interest from Kansas as well as ACC and SEC schools. Providence Day is No. 16 in the Fab 50 national poll and entered MaxPreps’ top 25 national poll Monday at No. 23.

▪ Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ first semester final exams begin Wednesday, so CMS teams will not play until Friday.
