A’Lea Gilbert, South Mecklenburg girls: 34 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks in Thursday’s 74-43 win over Harding.

Marcus Thomas, Independence: Splendid in two games last week: 22 points, seven rebounds, three steals in a 49-45 upset of Butler; and 30 points, seven rebounds in a 65-59 win over East Meck.

Mac Brydon, Carmel Christian: 15 points, 16 rebounds in a 88-76 win over rival United Faith Thursday.

Ojai Brooks, Concord First Assembly girls: 15 steals in last week’s 66-34 win over Gaston Christian. She also had 10 points.

Evonna McGill, Ashbrook girls: 29 points in a 65-38 win over rival Hunter Huss last week for unbeaten Green Wave.

Tracus Chisholm, York Prep: Junior guard had career-high 42 points in 96-54 win over Grace Academy last week.
