Josh Howard, Providence Day: Howard, a 6-6 senior and son of former Michigan “Fab 5” star Juwan Howard, had 63 points and 39 rebounds in three games last week for the Chargers.
Davion Mintz, North Mecklenburg: Scored his 1,000th career point in Thursday’s 85-69 rout of rival West Charlotte. Mintz, a Creighton signee, had 16 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists in a 65-50 win over Hopewell Friday It was his second triple-double this season.
Zaria Wright, Concord First Assembly girls: 45 points, four rebounds, four assists in 71-65 upset of Northside Christian Friday. Wright had 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists in a win over Metrolina Christian Tuesday.
Shawn Morrison Jr., Grace Academy: 29 points, seven assists for Morrison in 69-66 win over Charlotte United Christian Tuesday; 37 points, 10 assists, three steals in a 91-85 wiin over Greater Cabarrus Friday.
Carrie Eberle, Charlotte Catholic girls: 14 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks in 57-34 win over Olympic Friday. Catholic improved to 13-7, 7-3 in the SoMeck 8 4A.
Destiny Johnson, East Lincoln: 35 points, eight steals, five rebounds, four assists, one block in a 68-47 win over Bunker Hill Friday.
