Eight Arizona high school softball players were suspended for a prank involving filling a trash can with urine, ice and water. The students placed the trash can near a door, set up so that it would spill on anyone opening the door.

The Arizona Republic reported the hazing incident, saying the team was staying at a motel in February when the mixture-filled trash can spilled several feet away from a group of students, who were not hit by the mixture or hurt.

No one reported the incident, so the school didn’t know about it but after finding out, a full investigation was launched leading to the suspensions.

Four students were suspended for five days. The other four were suspended for two. The first four were directly involved with the prank. The second group knew about it and did nothing to stop it.
