Garinger High athletics director Tony Huggins said the school is looking for a new boys basketball coach.
Huggins said Rodney Hasan, who was hired last June, is no longer an employee of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Citing confidentiality laws, Huggins couldn’t elaborate on why Hasan would not be returning to his job as a campus security officer.
“The job is posted and we’re looking,” Huggins said. “We’re trying to get someone in place as soon as possible.”
Hasan coached one season, after replacing Carlton Anthony, who had resigned for medical reasons. Hasan was a longtime coach at Eastway Middle.
