Wisconsin youth baseball coach arrested for allegedly groping 3 young kids in Disney pool

A 26-year-old second grade teacher and youth baseball coach from Wisconsin was arrested for allegedly groping three young kids who were swimming at Disney World last weekend.

The Orlando Sentinel reported last week that Nicholas Groth of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, was being held without bond on five counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. Two of the alleged victims were under the age of 12 and one is between 12 and 15, according to court records.

Groth was staying at a Disney hotel for a baseball tournament, according to a post on the newspaper’s website, when Groth approached a group of young kids, asking to play catch in the pool. According to the report, the man grabbed one child’s buttocks three times, saying it was an accident. The man also allegedly asked “if they were going to tell on him.”

The kids got out of the pool and reported the incident to an adult, saying there was a man “acting weird and touching our butts,” the report said. Confronted by the adult, the man said he was a “14U baseball coach from Wisconsin and would never touch a child.” When the adult went to notify a lifeguard, the man disappeared.
