Area players participating in East-West All-Star Games in Greensboro this week
Several Charlotte Observer-area stars are participating in the East-West All-Star games in Greensboro this week.
During the day, there’s a huge coaching convention going on with training and merchandise sales for high school coaches. Charlotte 49ers coach Mark Price was scheduled to speak to the basketball coaches Monday afternoon.
And each night, through Wednesday, some of the state’s best seniors from the western part of the state will meet their eastern counterparts.
Monday night is boys and girls basketball at the Greensboro Coliseum (6:30 p.m., girls; 8:30 p.m., boys). Tuesday is boys and girls soccer at McPherson Stadium at Bryan Park (6:30 p.m., girls; 8:30 p.m., boys). Wednesday is football at Greensboro Grimsley High (8 p.m.)
There were no Mecklenburg County football or boys basketball players on the final rosters.
