Charlotte’s BB&T BallPark earned the top spot in Baseball America’s Best Ballparks in the Minors list.

The Durham-based baseball publication surveyed 100 minor league insiders, including general managers and radio announcers, to compile the list.

The stadium’s view of uptown was something that made the year-old home of the Charlotte Knights stand out.

“There can’t be a better view of a downtown skyline anywhere . . . It looks almost fake,” a minor league radio announcer wrote to Baseball America.
