Know someone who loves the Charlotte Knights?

Well, this is certainly a different kind of Valentine’s Day gift idea: The Charlotte Knights are offering fans a chance to have team mascot Homer the Dragon hand-deliver – or would that be claw-deliver? – a rose and Knights tickets to their sweetheart’s doorstep next month.

Cost is $60, and the collection of gifts includes two field box vouchers to a 2016 regular-season Knights game (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday) at BB&T Ballpark; a rose; and a choice of a Knights teddy bear, hat or T-shirt. Additional items can be included for $15 apiece.

Homer will make his rounds on either Thursday, Feb. 11, or Friday, Feb. 12, to homes or businesses within a 30-mile radius of the uptown stadium.

His time is of course limited, so orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to order is 5 p.m. Feb. 5. Details: www.charlotteknights.com.
