Norfolk Tides rally to defeat Charlotte Knights 7-6
Norfolk overcame a four-run deficit by scoring three runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth en route to a 7-6 victory over the Charlotte Knights Monday night at Harbor Park.
Christian Walker and Audry Perez each homered as Norfolk sent Charlotte to its fourth loss in five games. The Knights had scored five runs in their half of the seventh to take a 6-2 lead.
Norfolk reliever Richard Rodriguez (1-0, 0.00) earned the victory after striking out three over 1 2/3 innings.
Norfolk scored the tying and winning runs in the eighth on an RBI single by L.J. Hoes and an RBI double by Dariel Alvarez. Both runs came off Charlotte reliever Daniel Webb (1-1, 9.00) who took the loss.
