Knights rally to take out Chiefs

Jason Coats, Danny Hayes and Vinny Rottino all homered and the host Charlotte Knights scored three runs in the eighth inning to top the Syracuse Chiefs 5-3 on Wednesday.

Chris Beck gave up one run on three hits and struck out three in two innings to earn the win in relief. Michael Ynoa struck out two in picking up the save for the Knights (28-26).

Rafael Martin blew a save and took the loss for Syracuse (27-24), surrendering three runs on three hits.
