Charlotte Knights’ Kahnle walks in winning run in 10th inning

The Charlotte Knights lost in the 10th inning Monday night, 3-2 against the Bulls. The Knights’ 35-37 record was enough to stay in first place in the International League South (Charlotte would be next-to-last in the six-team North division).

Knights pitcher Tommy Kahnle walked in the winning run on five pitches to Daniel Robertson with two out, after intentionally walking Johnny Field.

The four-game series continues Tuesday at 7:05, when Tyler Danish (3-6, 3.93 ERA) is scheduled to take the mound for Charlotte. Eddie Gamboa (2-2, 3.38) will start for the Bulls.
