2 Charlotte Knights named to Triple-A All-Star Game in Charlotte

Two Charlotte Knights are on the International League roster for the Triple-A All-Star Baseball Game in Charlotte, the league announced Wednesday.

Third baseman Matt Davidson and utility player Leury Garcia are on the 30-player IL roster. They will play at BB&T BallPark on July 13 against the Pacific Coast League All-Stars.

Davidson is a three-time Triple-A All-Star. He is hitting .268 (76-for-284) with 35 runs scored, 20 doubles, 10 home runs, and 46 RBIs. Garcia, 25, is hitting .310 (54-for-174) with 20 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 18 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases.

The International League has won six of the past seven Triple-A All-Star Games, including the past three.
