Daniel Suarez crashes with Ryan Blaney at Duels, won’t make Daytona 500 field.

NASCAR Cup driver Daniel Suarez won’t be making the Daytona 500 field. He was racing for one of the open spots in Thursday night’s Daytona Duels, but crashed with Ryan Blaney, bringing a yellow caution in lap 34 of 60.

According to Suarez’s spotter Steve Barkdoll on his team’s radio, the Team Penske spotter didn’t know Blaney was trying to pit when he and Suarez collided.

Video of the crash is below.

Suarez shared his frustrations with the media shortly after the crash:

Blaney’s car was repaired and he continued to race.
