NASCAR legend Greg Biffle’s legacy to be honored at “Burnout for Biff” tribute
NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, killed with his wife, their two children and three others in a Dec. 18 plane crash, will be remembered during a “Burnout for Biff” tribute in downtown Mooresville on Friday.
Biffle’s life and legacy will be honored from 3 to 5 p.m. on Main Street.
“This tribute celebrates Greg Biffle’s extraordinary racing career and his lasting connection to Mooresville, Race City USA,” according to a town of Mooresville news release.
“Greg’s passion for racing was matched only by his generous heart,” according to the town. “He lived with intensity, purpose, and a deep love for his family and community.”
You Tube personality Cleetus McFarland, whose real name is Lawrence Garrett Mitchell, will perform a tribute burnout near Biffle’s North Carolina Auto Racing Walk of Fame star.
A collection of Biffle racing memorabilia will be displayed in the Charles Mack Citizen Center, supported by the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame.
The event also will highlight causes the Biffle family supported, including the American Red Cross and Lake Norman Humane Society.
