It’s a boy for NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha.

The couple welcomed their first child Monday, Busch announced on Twitter.

The birth comes two days after Busch finished sixth in Saturday’s Sprint All-Star Race, his first competition since being sidelined for a broken right leg and left foot. Busch, who plans to race in this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600, said he wasn’t sure how much conditioning he’d be able to fit in this week.

“I’ll try to do what I can and maybe sneak away for a couple hours to at least try to get down to the gym and get some work in for next week,” he said Saturday.
