Austin Dillon won a wreck-filled Firecracker 250 Xfinity Series race Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway in a green-white-checkered finish.
Dillon took advantage of a late wreck involving then-leader Brian Scott, whose attempted block on Elliott Sadler badly backfired on Lap 98.
Sadler finished second, with Chase Elliott coming in third. Points leader Chris Buescher was 12th, a lap down.

Then-leader Scott attempted to block Sadler, causing a 12-car wreck on Lap 98. That allowed Dillon to take the lead and he was able to hold off Sadler in overtime.

▪ The green flag was delayed for about an hour by rain that had been threatening for much of the late afternoon.
▪ The race began with three cautions in the first 14 laps. Things settled down after that before a hectic finish, which included two 12-car wrecks over the final nine laps.
▪ Sadler was disappointed gracious when asked about Scott’s blocking move, saying it was just bad timing by Scott and his spotter. Sadler managed to avoid the big wreck that came out of all that and finished second.
