NC State’s Cat Barber to work out for the Charlotte Hornets
A Charlotte Hornets pre-draft workout Friday will include former N.C. State point guard Anthony “Cat” Barber.
Barber, who averaged 23.5 points and 4.5 assists last season, turned pro this spring with one season of college eligibility remaining. He is generally projected to be an early second-round pick in the June 23 NBA draft.
Others scheduled to participate in the workout: Nathan Boothe (Toledo); Jake Layman (Maryland); Isaiah Miles (Saint Joseph’s); Tyler Ulis (Kentucky); and Stephen Zimmerman Jr., (Nevada-Las Vegas).
The Hornets have the 22nd pick in the first round and don’t currently have a second-round pick in this draft.
