Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was bitten by a dog owned by teammate D.J. Swearinger.

Clowney, the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL draft, went to the emergency room after Swearinger’s pit bull bit him on the arm, according to reports from Sports Radio 610 in Houston and Pro Football Talk.

The dog’s vaccinations are up to date and Clowney was not seriously hurt, according to reports.

The dog was placed under home quarantine, according to the police in Pearland, Texas.

Clowney and Swearinger also were teammates at South Carolina.

“Animal control handled it as a standard call,” said Lieutenant Patrick Savage told the radio station. “Standard procedures were followed by our humane department and the animal control officer who went out there.”

Clowney is recovering from microfracture knee surgery after an injury-plagued rookie year.
