This year’s batch of NFL concept helmets from the folks over at Deeyung Entertainment hit the web on Tuesday.
While someone attempts a set of redesigns like this pretty much every year in an attempt to draw attention to their design company, we’re not complaining.
These designs make for a nice distraction from the ‘Deflategate’ stories that never seem to end and help to bridge the lull before this year’s NFL scouting combine produces its first set of Wonderlic scores.
And it’s a testament to the power the NFL has to captivate our attention.

But back to these helmet designs …
The Carolina Panthers redesign has the club moving away from its primarily silver design to one featuring a blue backdrop. All things considered, it’s not half bad.
The New York Giants helmet might need to tone it back a little on the “‘Merica!” and it’s nice that sometimes even designers know it’s best to not mess with a look that already works (see: San Francisco).
Seattle’s look has had the internet buzzing about lime-green Skittles and us turning down the brightness levels on our monitors.
The NFL mandates that players wear the same helmet year-round.
So what do you think? Who are the winners and losers of this year’s batch of redesigns? With Nike’s five-year uniform contract with the NFL set to expire in 2017, it’s possible these futuristic looks might not be too far off?
