Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen was ranked the 89th best player in the NFL on the NFL Network’s “Top 100 Players of 2015” Wednesday night.

“I would hope to be a little lower,” Olsen said on the show. “But it’s my first time on it, so beggars can’t be choosers.”

Olsen, who signed a three-year, $22.5 million extension this offseason, finished last year with 1,008 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 84 receptions. That performance propelled him to his first Pro Bowl selection.

“I would stack my consistency, my production, my value against anybody in the league,” Olsen said. “I know I’m not necessarily the flashiest or most talked-about guy, but I take a lot of pride on what I do and I think, as voted here, I think guys around the league respect that.”

The 6-foot-5 Olsen, who is the fifth-ranked tight end in the top 100, is the only Panther named to the list so far. The show unveils 10 players each week and only 80-100 has been announced.
