Panthers DE Vernon Butler ejected for punching Colts TE Jack Doyle

The Panthers game vs. the Colts was already not off to a good start, but things went from bad to worse.

In the third quarter, defensive end Vernon Butler was ejected for punching Colts tight end Jack Doyle in the face. The penalty occurred away from the play and Buter seemingly punched the wrong person and instead intended to hit guard Mark Glowinski. Butler turned to Doyle after the play was over and punched him on the ground.

Butler was originally just called for a personal foul penalty and not ejected. Upon further review, he was removed from the game. He proceeded to wave to the entire stadium as he did a long walk off the field and even flipped off fans.
