Panthers star Christian McCaffrey again has sky high Madden rating

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is the latest player to join Madden 2021’s “99 club,” the video game announced Tuesday on social media.

The 99 club members are players who earn a 99 rating in Madden — the highest rating a player can earn in the video game, and one many players covet because it recognizes their play in the previous season.

McCaffrey received a package at his door, that include a gold chain with No. 99 on it.

McCaffrey earned a 99 rating in Madden 2020 midway through the 2019 season. He became the youngest player to do so.

Last season, McCaffrey rushed for 1,387 yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 1,005 receiving yards and caught four touchdowns. He was the third player in NFL history to have 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same season.

Madden 2021 will reveal the rest of its ratings for the game throughout the week. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also earned a 99 rating.
