The Panthers and Buccaneers could be down a few key players when they play in Week 16
Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore will be a game-time decision on Sunday when Carolina plays the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Moore, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury the past two weeks and has been limited in practice, was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
Starting left tackle Cameron Erving, who was limited in practice, and rookie defensive tackle Phil Hoskins, who did not practice, were also listed as questionable.
Rookie left tackle Brady Christensen has practiced with the starters at left tackle this week.
Although Moore, Hoskins and Erving were the only ones listed on the injury report, the Panthers could also be without a few other players because of COVID.
Defensive tackle Derrick Brown remains on the reserve/COVID list. Center Pat Elflein was placed on the list Thursday and so was backup guard Dennis Daley.
Those players could still test negative before Sunday’s game and play under the NFL’s revised COVID testing protocols.
Meanwhile, the Bucs are missing a few key players, too, including their top two wide receivers. Mike Evans, who has a hamstring injury, and Chris Godwin, who tore his ACL last week, will not play.
