Panthers-Saints inactives: Brian Burns held out of Week 18 finale in New Orleans

The Carolina Panthers will be without Pro Bowl defensive end Brian Burns (ankle) and defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis (back) on Sunday in their season finale against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome.

Ioannidis and Burns were listed as questionable entering the weekend.

Marquis Haynes and rookie Amare Barno will replace Burns opposite Yetur Gross-Matos.

The Panthers elevated defensive tackle Phil Hoskins from the practice squad on Saturday to fill out the defensive tackle depth chart with Ioannidis ailing. Hoskins will partner with Derrick Brown, Bravvion Roy, Marquan McCall and Henry Anderson at the position.

Along with elevating Hoskins from the practice squad, the Panthers also elevated cornerback Josh Norman. The team also promoted wideout Preston Williams and center Sam Tecklenburg to the 53-man roster.

Running back D’Onta Foreman (knee) will play despite being listed as questionable on Friday.
