The Panthers’ final dress rehearsal is here.

Carolina punctuates its 2023 slate of preseason games against the Detroit Lions at home in Bank of America Stadium on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.

The game will be nationally televised on CBS. Andrew Catalon will be on play-by-play duties, and Tiki Barber and Matt Ryan — who quarterbacked under coach Frank Reich in Indianapolis — will be color commentating.

Fans can follow the game on the radio, too, at WRFX 99.7 FM. Anish Shroff will be leading that broadcast.

Fans can also stream the game via FuboTV, NFL+ or the official Panthers Mobile App.

Tickets for the game were available for as little as $6 (before fees), according to TicketMaster.

Friday evening has different meanings for different people.

For the fans, it’s the last time they can catch the Panthers in a largely stakes-free setting before the 2023 season. That comes with some drawbacks, but also a few perks. For instance, head coach Frank Reich said that it would be ideal if all four quarterbacks play Friday night — which would mark the first time veteran reserve Andy Dalton plays in a game environment in BofA.

For the players, Friday marks a final chance to answer a few questions. Among those questions: Will the offensive line prove it can protect rookie quarterback Bryce Young? Who at receiver will step up considering the current attrition at the position? And for some, it offers a chance to make an impression to extend their football lives.

Some player statuses still up in the air: Carolina starting kicker Eddy Piñeiro feels “amazing” after dealing with soreness in his leg all preseason and is questionable for the game. Same goes for running back Miles Sanders, who is “TBD” for Friday but will “absolutely” play in the team’s regular-season opener on the road against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 10.

Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Panthers are 4.5-point favorites with the over/under at 36.5 points.
