Why Panthers QB Bryce Young needs more reps in the preseason vs. the Detroit Lions

Bryce Young will play in Friday’s preseason finale against the Detroit Lions at Bank of America Stadium.

Young, the team’s rookie starting quarterback, has thrown just 12 passes in the first two preseason matchups. He’s also been hit a considerable amount, despite his limited reps.

On the latest episode of the “Processing Blue” podcast, Panthers beat writer Mike Kaye and host Langston Wertz Jr. discuss why Young needs additional preseason reps before the season-opener in Atlanta against the Falcons.

The duo also discusses the sudden release of former starting nose tackle Marquan McCall and the players to watch in the preseason matchup against Detroit.
