Carolina Panthers

Steve Smith Sr. talks David Tepper, Bryce Young and what’s next for the Carolina Panthers

Former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is rarely without an opinion.

Mr. “Ice up son,” and Mr. “If you see this face again, it means I scored again,” is the featured guest on this week’s episode of Processing Blue, The Observer’s weekly podcast about the Carolina Panthers.

Smith discusses what drove him to be a five-time Pro Bowl selection, why he’d like to be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the state of the one-win Carolina Panthers. Tune in to hear what the longtime Panthers standout thinks it will take for coach Frank Reich, quarterback Bryce Young and the current team to win again.

Now working as an NFL Network analyst, Smith also discusses his love for former Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, and how he was persuaded by current owner David Tepper to become involved with the team again.
