Should Bryce Young play in Carolina Panthers’ preseason games? The answer is clear
Bryce Young won’t play in the Carolina Panthers’ first preseason game on Thursday night in New England.
Head coach Dave Canales has his reasons. Among them: Young isn’t in competition — “We know who our guy is, and he’s doing a fantastic job,” Canales said Tuesday — and the in-practice situations simulate that of a preseason game already and do so with less risk of injury.
Still a question persists:
Is that the right call?
Charlotte Observer reporters Mike Kaye and Alex Zietlow dive into this topic toward the end of the latest episode of Processing Blue — a podcast dedicated to all things Panthers. Kaye and Zietlow also discuss the biggest takeaways from training camp thus far, linger on what they’re looking for as Thursday night approaches and Jadeveon Clowney.
