Receiver Kevin Norwood could get his first look in a game as a Carolina Panthers player on Sunday against Houston after a week of getting more reps.

“Feel good about him. I really do,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. “He had a good week. He’s progressed very nicely and in our discussions this afternoon there will be a lot of consideration.”

The consideration comes on who will be active and inactive for Carolina. Last week the Panthers sat Norwood, acquired in a trade with Seattle, after just two weeks with the team and the playbook.

This week Norwood has gotten more looks at two different receiver positions.

“I'm learning it quicker than I thought it would,” Norwood said. “It was a little different for me. But I picked up on it quick, studying day and night.”

Norwood would also have to contribute on special teams as a gunner on the punt team and in kickoff coverage. Last week the Panthers went with receiver/special teamer/quarterback Joe Webb over Norwood.
