Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil, sidelined since twisting his right ankle against Philadelphia on Oct. 25, participated in a limited basis before leaving Thursday’s practice early to continue his rehab.

Kalil’s status for Sunday’s game against Green Bay remains in question. Backup center Fernando Velasco has been limited this week with a shoulder injury, forcing Chris Scott to take a lot of repetitions at guard and center.

Left guard Andrew Norwell hasn’t practiced since pulling his hamstring when he slipped on the wet grass while blocking for a field goal Monday night against Indianapolis.

“It’s unfortunate because the young man was playing really well,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said of Norwell, a second-year player from Ohio State.

Defensive tackle Dwan Edwards (high ankle sprain) and special teams contributor Teddy Williams (illness) also weren’t at practice.
