Panthers LB Thomas Davis adds game-worn Stephen Curry jersey to collection

Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis let Golden State guard Stephen Curry know before Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets ended that he wanted his jersey, and after the game, Curry obliged.

Davis added to his collection of sports memorabilia in a room in his house, saying he’ll frame the Curry jersey and hang it beside his game-worn LeBron James jersey.

Davis was so impressed with Curry’s 40-point night against the Hornets, and what he’s done this season, that he called him the best player in the NBA despite Davis’ close ties with James.

“He was the MVP of the league. I think everybody said that,” Davis said. “You look at what he’s been able to do and the way their team has been playing, I mean, it speaks for itself.”
