The Carolina Panthers are the 2015 NFC South champs.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 23-19 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon provided the edge in the standings the unbeaten Panthers needed to seal up the division title and the playoff spot.

It is the Panthers' third straight division title. No other team has won the division in consecutive years.

The Panthers are the NFL's first team of the 2015 season to clinch a playoff berth.

The Panthers, now 12-0 on the season, beat the New Orleans Saints 41-38 Sunday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Now, Carolina can set its sights on securing a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Next up for the Panthers are the Falcons (6-6) on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium.
