Panthers’ Greg Olsen surprises fans at Concord restaurant
Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen recently surprised restaurant-goers at Concord’s Buffalo Wild Wings with more than $9,000 worth of gift cards.
To promote the restaurant’s Blazin’ Bonus promotion, Olsen gave each table at the restaurant a $100 gift card as well as two additional $25 cards to use as holiday gifts.
The promotion, which runs through Dec. 31, gives customers purchasing a gift card worth at least $25 a bonus card valued between $5 and $100.
On Tuesday, Buffalo Wild Wings will announce that it will donate $1 to Olsen’s The HEARTest Yard charity for every time a tweet is retweeted – up to $10,000.
The charity, a program with Levine Children’s Hospital, helps the families of children born with congenital heart disease pay for services including in-home nursing care, physical therapy and speech therapy. Olsen’s youngest son, T.J., has undergone four open-heart surgeries because of the disease.
