Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton winning NFC Offensive Player of the Week has become so commonplace now no one even asks him about it anymore.

Newton won his fourth such award of the season after being the first quarterback to pass for more than 300 yards, rush for 100 yards and throw five touchdowns in a single game.

Only Tom Brady’s five awards in 2007 tops Newton’s four this season.

And Newton is the first player since LaDainian Tomlinson 2006 to win four awards in a seven-week span.

Newton beat out the likes of Russell Wilson and Matthew Stafford for this week’s award following the 38-35 win against the Giants.
