Week 16 advice: Start all your Jaguars vs. Saints

You should start all your Jacksonville Jaguars, including tight end Julius Thomas (80).

The Jacksonville Jaguars passing attack could win some fantasy titles this week against the New Orleans Saints, who allow an NFL-worst 30.9 points per game. This includes tight end Julius Thomas who has been the third best tight end over the past five weeks while New Orleans allows the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.

▪  Last week Russell Wilson (Seattle) became the first quarterback in NFL history to have at least three passing touchdowns without an interception in five straight games – start all your Seahawks wide receivers against the Rams, who allow an NFL-worst 310.7 passing yards per game over the past three weeks.

▪  Don’t out-think yourself with Adrian Peterson (Minnesota) after averaging just 9.4 fantasy points over the past three weeks. Trust Peterson in a prime-time game, against a soft Giants defense and with the Vikings in sixth place and fighting for the final NFC playoff spot.

▪  Charcandrick West (Kansas City) has a touchdown in every game he has touched the ball 16 times or more. Spencer Ware should cut into his carries some but West is an elite option against Cleveland, which ranks 31st against the run.

▪  Bilal Powell (N.Y. Jets) has slowly taken over as the main running back for the Jets, certainly in fantasy. Powell has been the second-best running back overall over the past three weeks as he’s essentially become the Jets’ third option in the passing game.

▪  DeSean Jackson (Washington) should be in store for another strong week returning to Philadelphia. Jackson has faced the Eagles twice since being released by them and has over 100 yards receiving in each of those games. Jackson also has four touchdowns in his past five games.

▪  I don’t normally recommend Alfred Morris (Washington) but he too could be a solid play this week against Philadelphia. The Eagles rank 30th against the run and have allowed over 160 yards rushing per game over their past three games.

▪  After fumbles in back-to-back games, Javorius Allen (Baltimore) carries major risk. Allen fumbled last week in the first quarter (and it was returned for a touchdown). That got him benched for the day.

▪  Jeremy Hill (Cincinnati) is down to just 3.4 yards per carry this season, and the Broncos allow an NFL-low 79.9 rushing yards per game. Don’t let Hill’s two touchdowns last week persuade you to start him this week.

Other Week 16 sleepers

▪  With LeSean McCoy (MCL) likely out, Karlos Williams (Buffalo) becomes a high-end sleeper. Williams successfully returned last week from a shoulder injury that shelved him two games. Williams averages an impressive 6 yards per carry this season, and the Cowboys allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

▪  Cameron Artis-Payne (Carolina) led the Panthers last week in carries and looked strong with 93 total yards. Look for Artis-Payne to again have a prominent role and he goes against an Atlanta defense that has allowed 18 rushing TDs this season (tied for most in the NFL).

▪  San Francisco has also allowed 18 rushing touchdowns this season, and six over its past three games. Ameer Abdullah (Detroit) has sleeper potential and has been rapidly improving – Abdullah’s average for rushing yards per game in the past four games is double what it was in his first eleven.

▪  Jay Ajayi (Miami) could be a deep sleeper. Ajayi played a season-high 54 percent of the Dolphins’ snaps last week and the team could audition him some for the 2016 season with Lamar Miller set to be an unrestricted free agent. The Colts allow 37.3 points per game over its past three.

▪  Frank Gore (Indianapolis) has had a disappointing season but this could be a solid fantasy week. Gore returns to Miami, where he played high school and college ball, and goes up against a Dolphins defense that ranks 29th against the run.

▪  With Odell Beckham Jr. suspended, tight end Will Tye (N.Y. Giants) should be more of a focus in the game plan. Tye has double-digit fantasy points in every game over his past four games.
