Former Carolina Panthers cornerback Chris Gamble will announce the team’s second-round pick at the NFL draft in Chicago Friday.
"A few weeks ago they asked me if I was interested, and I said I would be honored to do something like that," Gamble told Panthers.com. "I was excited, my wife was excited. It’s a big honor to announce the second-round pick."
Gamble, the 28th overall pick in the 2004 draft, holds the Panthers’ franchise records for most interceptions (27) and passes defended (94).
The first round of the NFL draft starts Thursday.
