Three questions with Carolina Panthers FB Mike Tolbert:

Q. Cam Newton apparently spent $50 on a take-out pizza in Spartanburg. What's the most you've ever spent on training camp food?

A. I normally eat the free stuff. I don't have a $100 million contract. You look at me, you know I'm a big guy. I can eat. But I don't spend a lot in training camp. But I'll definitely treat the guys out to a nice Del Frisco's dinner.

Q. Is that one of the perks of coming up here -- you don't have anywhere to go spend money?

A. Being in training camp here where you're not around your family, you're not around your friends that much, you don't really spend a lot of money. You're here to work. It's a positive because if I'm with my family they'll want to go eat every night. My kids will want to go to Chuck E. Cheese's. My wife wants me to go grocery shopping and look at this and do that. I'm like, man, can I just sit down?

Q. What's it like when you go to Chuck E. Cheese's?

A. A very intense Pop-a-Shot game between me and my wife usually takes place. And my son is sitting down eating pizza probably for an hour and a half straight. And my daughter wants to play every game. My son is (there for) the food and my daughter is the runner and player.
