Hours before the Carolina Panthers take the field for a Super Bowl rematch against the Broncos in Denver, there’s another commercial just out featuring quarterback Cam Newton and his off-season renaissance.

This most recent one is from Gatorade. It comes a day after Under Armour, another of Newton’s sponsors, released a video ad of the quarterback running through a forest, with a voiceover by his mother.

The Gatorade ad is set to the song “This Little Light of Mine.” It harkens back images of the Super Bowl, starting with the post-game press conference from which Newton notoriously walked away after less than 3 minutes in front of media (“The guy is a terrible loser. He can’t stand losing,” announcers can be heard saying.)

It then shows Newton cradling his young son, Chosen, and rewatching the play from the Super Bowl when Broncos linebacker Von Miller swats the ball from Newton’s hand, and, instead of diving for the ball, Newton moves out of the way.

The video takes a much more upbeat tone after that, showing Newton hitting the weight room, running across a practice field, going through team drills, signing autographs and finally joyfully running into a packed stadium in full white uniform.

The Panthers play the Broncos in the NFL season opener Thursday night at 8:30.
