Little Big Town set for anthem, halftime at Panthers game
Grammy Award-winning country group Little Big Town will perform both the national anthem and the halftime show at Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, which pits the Panthers against the Arizona Cardinals at Bank of America Stadium.
The band has a catalog of hits spanning more than a dozen years, ranging from 2002’s “Don’t Waste My Time” to last year’s “Pain Killer.”
Little Big Town and its “Girl Crush” also will be up for four Grammys at the awards ceremony next month: “Song of the Year,” “Best Country Album,” “Best Country Group/Duo Performance” and “Best Country Song.”
The quartet of Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook most recently visited Charlotte last May, when it treated fans to a free concert before the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
