#SB50 winner? Philanthropy
SB50 winner? Philanthropy
There’s an inter-city charitable twist to Super Bowl 50, courtesy of philanthropic groups in Charlotte and Denver.
Members of the New Generation of African American Philanthropists-Charlotte, who issued the challenge, will write checks totalling $1,000 to Denver philanthropic causes if the Broncos win Sunday.
And if the Panthers win, two groups - Denver African American Philanthropists, and Sisterhood of Philanthropists Impacting Needs, will make a $1,000 donation to Charlotte causes.
Charlotte philanthropist Valaida Fullwood said via email that the group posted the dare on Facebook, which caught the Denver charities off guard a bit. But “they’re super good sports and equally eager to engage in an inter-city Super Bowl challenge,” Fullwood wrote.
She signed off with a hashtag predicting the outcome: #PhilanthropyWins.
