Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly gets highest player rating possible from Madden videogame
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton may be Superman, and he may be the NFL’s MVP -- and he may be the leading vote getter among players as the league’s top player -- but he’s not the highest-rated guy on the new Madden 17 videogame.
His teammate, Luke Kuechly, was one of four players to be awarded a 99 rating. The 99, of course, is the highest you can get on Madden. The ratings are a measurement of a (digital) players “awareness,” speed, acceleration, agility and strength.
Cam? He got a 94 overall rating.
Kuechly was joined on the 99 Club by New England tight end Rob Gronkowski and two defensive superstars -- Denver’s Von Miller and Houston’s J.J. Watt.
In case you’re wondering, among quarterbacks, Cam and New England’s Tom Brady got a 94. That was the second highest rating among quarterbacks. The top QB was Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, who got a 96.
Only 4 players received a 99 rating in @EAMaddenNFL 17.
