Sean Geoghegan took the loss for Charlotte (4-7, 0-1 C-USA), allowing seven runs on 10 hits and striking out four in six innings. Brett Nitzer led the 49ers at the plate with three hits and two RBIs.
Florida Atlantic improved to 16-3, 1-0.
Davidson 2-7, Akron 3-3: Ryan Lowe had three RBIs and Rob Bain allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings with five strikeouts for the host Wildcats (8-5) in Game 2 of their doubleheader split.

Andrew Pope led Davidson with two hits in the Game 1 loss to Akron (8-6).
North Carolina 3, Pittsburgh 1: J.B. Bukauskas, Spencer Trayner and Trevor Kelley limited Pitt to one run on six hits and Skye Bolt’s two RBIs helped the visiting Tar Heels (12-6, 3-2 ACC) even the series.
Pitt is 7-9, 2-3.
Duke 6, Georgia Tech 3: Andrew Istler allowed six hits over 7 2/3 innings and Jalen Phillips drove in three runs as the host Blue Devils (14-4, 2-3 ACC) evened the series.

Gardner-Webb 6, Presbyterian 0: Erik Heiligenstadt tossed a complete-game, four-hit shutout for the visiting Runnin’ Bulldogs (11-7, 1-0 Big South).

Texas State 6, Appalachian State 4: Michael Pierson hit a grand slam for the host Mountaineers (5-13, 0-5 Sun Belt).
Texas State (7-10-1, 4-1) clinched the series.
Winthrop 2-0, Kennesaw State 0-4: Sam Kmiec pitched a complete game, four-hit shutout for the host Eagles in Game 1, but Winthrop (12-5) was held to four hits and shut out in Game 2.
Kennesaw State is 9-7.
Clemson 6-6, Notre Dame 1-11: Matthew Crownover allowed no earned runs and three hits in eight innings for the host Tigers (9-8, 2-3 ACC) in Game 1 of a doubleheader.
The Irish (13-4, 2-2) broke a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning of Game 2 to even the series.
South Carolina 4, Kentucky 3: A pair of two-run homers off the bats of Alex Destino and Elliot Caldwell boosted the host Gamecocks (16-3, 2-0 SEC).
Kentucky is 13-5, 0-2.
Wofford 14-7, Iona 4-4: The host Terriers scored nine runs in the fifth inning in the first game. In Game 2, a 3-run homer by Conor Clancey in the eighth lifted Wofford (14-5) to the doubleheader sweep.
Iona is 3-13.
College of Charleston 11, High Point 9: Green went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored for the visiting Panthers (6-10).
Brandon Glazer earned the win for Charleston (10-5), which evened the series.
Savannah State 6-1, N.C. Central 0-0: Conrad Kovalcik and Cory Williamson had three hits each in Game 1 for the visiting Eagles (6-10, 3-4 MEAC).
Savannah State improves to 8-11, 3-2.
